Mark's journey in the art world blends practical teaching experience with the mastery of his craft as an oil painter. After earning a BFA in Illustration and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Brigham Young University - Idaho, he dedicated eight years to instructing in a public high school environment while refining his skills under the tutelage of distinguished artists such as Leon Parson, Jim Wilcox, Grant Redden, and Greg Beecham. Embracing his role as a mentor, Mark embodies a passion for art that is as evident in his paintings as it is in his dedication to empowering aspiring artists with the knowledge derived from countless hours of practice and professional development.

Since transitioning to a full-time artist in 2018, Mark has not only solidified his success in the art business—with a substantial six-figure average income from his artwork—but also continues to invest deeply in the art community through teaching.
